Sizing Information and Instructions:
The best way to ensure you get the correct size is to measure your correct belt. Measure from the sizing hole you use, to the end of the belt at the base of buckle side ( do NOT include the length of buckle ).
Pants will stretch, however your belt will not. Therefore, your pants size and your belt size will not always be the same. A good generally rule of thumb is to order a size or two (2″-4″ ) bigger than your pants size to allow room for your IWB Holster.

My experience of Muddy River Tactical thus far has been too brief for me to provide an in-depth assessment of how the IWB holster works for me in an appendix-carry, as was my intent when I purchased it, however I can provide my first impressions of the holster and tactical belt that I purchased from them and share my experience of their customer service.
My first impressions of the holster and belt are good but I haven’t had them long enough to provide an opinion of how well they work for me in EDC. That said, the workmanship of the holster is outstanding. Its size is compact and its construction is excellent, with the individual parts of it cleanly formed and nicely finished. It fits my M&P Shield perfectly. It provides a clearly audible “click” when the gun is holstered properly and provides excellent retention, no matter my activity. It nicely covers the weapon’s trigger and safety and I believe that an accidental discharge, while drawing or holstering, is highly unlikely.
This is the first tactical belt I have owned, so I really have nothing to compare it with. It’s workmanship is excellent, though, on par with that of my new holster. It also solves the problem I had previously with my belt sagging under the weight of a holstered weapon. When I have more experience of it in EDC, I will provide an updated review.
Muddy River Tactical was recommended to me by a friend of a friend who knew I was looking for an appendix-carry holster. As I perused MRT’s web site, it was obvious that their primary products were holsters. Yes, they do offer some accessories (mag carriers, clothing, etc.) but their principal products are holsters. I was pleased that they offered a Kydex IWB holster for my handgun and, when I saw that they offered a price-discounted combo of a holster and tactical belt ordered together, I decided that it was time to purchase a tactical belt, too. I was surprised that my handgun model was not listed on the page where the holster/belt combo was entered and, since I had discovered a place on the web site to send a question to MRT, I did so, asking about my handgun’s absence from the holster/belt combo order form and a question to confirm that the holster would accommodate my gun’s optional thumb safety. Within fifteen minutes of my sending my questions, I received an email from MRT’s owner confirming that their holster would accommodate my gun’s thumb safety and telling me to retry entering my order — he had updated the web site to add my gun’s model to the combo order page! I immediately placed my order and received notification the following morning that it had shipped! And, though I had specified the “el cheapo” standard shipping method when I entered my order, my holster and belt arrived in my mailbox two days later! Unfortunately, I had specified the wrong size for the belt on my order, so I shipped it back to MRT, asking for a replacement and authorizing them to charge my credit card for the additional shipping. Again, two days after they received the return, the new belt arrived, and without an additional shipping charge. Folks, if my experience is anything to measure by (and I believe it is), MRT offers customer service unparalleled in today’s America.
