Why you should carry an Extra Magazine for Everyday Carry!

When most people think about extra magazines for everyday carry, the common response we get is ” If I don’t have enough bullets in the gun, I am screwed anyways”.

Well, I would like to question your thinking a little bit today…

Do you conceal carry to protect yourself and those around you?  The obvious answer to that is , YES!  So, if you are going to take on that responsibility, why would you not want to be as prepared as possible?  What if there are multiple threats?

Question:  What is the most common cause of pistol failure and issues??

Answer:  Magazine related issues are the cause of a huge percentage of pistol issues and failure.  Most times you can swap magazines and it quickly eliminates the issue!  That alone, should make you always want to have an extra magazine in reach.  Without a functional weapon, it is a paperweight!

 

Question:  What is the one thing you never hear anyone say if they ever god-forbid find themselves in a self defense situation?

Answer:  I don’t know about you, but I have never heard anyone say they ” wish they did not have extra ammo ” .  The unfortunate truth about todays world is that we never know what will happen.  We are living in a world where unthinkable things happen, and all too often.

I mean serious, who would think we would have active shooters in schools around the country where our innocent children go?

In churches, stores, and shopping malls?

In movie theaters?

Active riots on the streets?

    I purchased a pair of these inside the waistband magazine holders in different calibers. Firstly, I was pleased to find Muddy River Tactical offered them for my firearms, a H&K USP .40 and a S&W Shield .45 caliber. The first is not a commonly carried firearm and the second is a relatively new model. Secondly, my order arrived promptly and sooner than expected.

    This is my second purchase from MRT and each time I’ve been very pleased with the quality of the products and speed of delivery.

    In addition, I had lost one of the screws from my holster and contacted the owner who included three sets of screws in my order at no extra charge. Very good quality and customer service! This won’t be my last purchase from MRT!

    Love the holster. And greatly appreciate you making it a double. Only other thing I would say about it, is maybe see about putting an adjustable tension screw between the magazines.

    Front magazine was fine but back magazine didn’t have any tension. I fixed it simply enough by putting a single strip of electrical tape on the inside of the rear magazine to shin it up.

    Very good fit and finish. Orientation is correct although left or right was not asked at ordering. Belt loops are a little generous slips around a bit but ok. Would like to see an option for concealment loops as with the holsters.
    Considering getting the owb holster as well.

    The mag pouch is good, but it rides a bit low for use with a G43 mag, even with a 2-round extension. The top of the opening sits about 1/8” below the top of the pants and it would be nice if it was flush. That being said, I like it and would buy another in this configuration if the need arises.

    Magazine holster works perfectly. FNH mags has a little metal burr that engage the magazine release for retention and that makes it hard to find mag holsters. These work really well.
